Finished the cardigan. Took me about 4 months to knit it on 2,5 mm and 3 mm Needles.

My added length wasn´t really necessary, because that cardigan is longer than the usual vintage pattern (which tend to be quite short on me). The sleeves are also slightly longer than bracelet length, but i´m fine with it.

I still need to wash it, hopefully the puckering from sewing in the sleeves will soften out a bit.

All in all, it is quite nice!

I finished the second front piece today.
Now i need to knit the collar and button covers(?).
Theoretically i could finish it in the next few days...
I still need a solution for the front pieces, because the edges, where the buttons and buttonholes are, are rolling inwards. I'm thinking of some tape or ribbon?
And i'm also a bit worried about the collar, because of that( i haven't read the instructions completely). Maybe it will also roll inwards?

Look at that ridiculous sleeve!

It is massive and it took long to knit...can't wait that this project is finished.

One sleeve, the right front piece and the collar pieces still need to be knitted, so this will still take a while.

For a long time i wanted to knit a vintage pattern as in a garment. I often read the patterns are hard to understand for "modern knitting" people. But this one was quite easy and forward to follow.
It took me quite long, because after a while it got soo boring (it is just Purl and Knit) but in the end i really like it.

I also wrote a Blog post about it for more information on yarn and the pattern itself.

I knitted a 50s pattern a few years ago, and learned the hard way that the bust measurement refers to what we would call the high bust (i.e. under the arms) not the full bust.

It's had 7+ years of regular wear, so now that it's wearing thin in places I'm working on its eventual replacement.
