Nachhall des Freitags: Pelotone, SIIE, Victrola

Ich habe den Eindruck, dass ich mich mit vielen der Bands, die ich im GothDiscoInferno spiele, gar nicht intersiver beschäftigen kann, weil immer wieder neue interessante Bands auf meinem Radar auftauchen. Ich nenne das mal „Fast Listening“, so wie „Fast Fashion“ oder „Fast Food“, schnell konsumiert und nicht nachhaltig. Daher plane ich jetzt, regelmäßig drei bis fünf Bands aus der jeweils letzten Sendung näher vorzustellen. Den Anfang machen heute Pelotone, SIIE und Victrola aus dem GothDiscoInferno #108.

Pelotone (Schweden)

Pelotone ist ein Soloprojekt der Künstlerin Josefine Lindberg Lärkstierna aus Stockholm. wer das GothDiscoInferno regelmäßig verfolgt, der weiß, dass ich ein Faible für schwedische Musiker habe. Es gab sogar eine Sendung, bei der ich nur Bands aus Schweden gespielt habe. Pelotone war damals noch nicht dabei, da ich sie erst kürzlich entdeckt habe.

Pelotone liefert minimalistischen SynthWave und Coldwave, der an Glaring oder Hante. erinnert. Anfangs noch mit analogen Synthesizern und Drum-Machines, arbeitet sie mittlerweile mit digitalem Equipment und Gitarren. Ihre Diskografie weist eine Lücke auf, das erste Tape „Avsked“ mit zwei Songs wurde 2013 im Eigenvertrieb veröffentlicht, darauf folgte 2014 das selbstbetitelte Debütalbum bei Dödsdans Records. 10 Jahre später erst folgte 2024 bei Lamour Records die Single „Sommaräng“, die in einem neuen Mix auch auf der EP „Nära“ (2025) enthalten ist. Ganz aktuell, am 13.02.2026, erschien eine Remix-EP von „Nära“.

Ich habe schon den nächsten Song von „Nära“ (schwedisch für „Nähe“) für das GothDiscoInferno 109 ausgesucht.

SIIE (Deutschland)

Am Freitag spielte ich „Papier Glacé“ von SIIE. Die Texte sind zwar auf französisch, das Duo kommt aber aus Hamburg und eine Hälfte stammt aus der Schweiz. Mehr ist über die Musiker nicht bekannt, sie treten mit Glitzermasken auf und halten ihre Identitäten geheim. Seit 2021 sind sie aktiv und haben nach einigen EPs 2025 ihr Debütalbum „ACME“ beröffentlicht. Auch sie sind elektronisch unterwegs, allerdings viel energischer als Pelotone, Vergleiche kommen eher mit Acts wie Boy Harsher oder Rue Oberkampf auf.

Seit 19.02.2026 bis zum 05.04.2026 sind SIIE mit den EBM-Legenden Nitzer Ebb auf Europa-Tour, außerdem werden sie beim Amphi Festival auf der Bühne stehen.

Victrola (Italien)

Jetzt kommt ein Juwel aus den Achtzigern. Die New-Wave-Band Victrola wurde bereits 1979 in Italien gegründet und bestand bis 1984. In der Zeit wurde nur eine 12″-Single veröffentlicht. Glücklicherweise sind sie nicht allen so wie mir entgangen, das Label Dark Entries hat 2019 eine Compilation mit Demo-Aufnahmen von Victrola veröffenlticht, die das Potential der Band ganz gut zeigen. Die Musik ist cold-wavig und klingt sehr zeitlos. Auch von Victrola habe ich schon einen weiteren Song im nächsten GothDiscoInferno.

Ich hoffe, ihr könnt mit diesen Kurzvorstellungen etwas anfangen und werde mich bemühen, diese nun regelmäßig nach den Sendungen nachzulegen, als kurzen Nachhall.
