Another #wasp encounter in #Bochum, Germany: this time the clypeus clearly gave it away as a #Vespula vulgaris (common wasp, Gemeine Wespe) as confirmed by a wasp expert - who also thinks that the one before in the thread had also been one. Thus the same species, but the abdomen pattern varies a lot! Next time you see a wasp, don't chase it away - enjoy #Nature's beauty instead. #insects

Vespula Germanica. Lacking the distinct black anchor-shaped mark on it's face of the common wasp, Vespula Vulgaris. Reportedly a little more bad tempered! #Wasp #Vespula #Germanica
