If you think im being hyperbolic: no, i use windows for work. They managed to do everything so completely wrong, i can never use the freaking thing successfully first try, AND it routinely hangs for MINUTES during login without any info.Truly one of the biggest #uxfail horrors of our time, which most users have to deal with.

Anyone know what might be wrong, or how to fix it? The thing's only 2 years old. This is ridiculous.
Why can't it report on *why* it's skipping 75% of its programme? There's no error code shown, and this is clearly a major error.

Upset to learn one of my financial institutions silently deletes user accounts if you haven't signed in in six months. No warning this is going to happen, no notification sent after. That's a terrible way to treat your customers. #UXFail

Can someone from the #gnome #linux world explain this design pattern to me?
When opening a file on the desktop, if you sort the list by 'last modfieid' - no matter how old the folder is, it shows all the folders first. You have to scroll past all the flders to see the most recently modified file.
Apparently this was a DELIBERATE design decision, and there's no way to disable it.
This makes no sense.
