Another pet peeve of mine: there’s this Swedish company that makes map cases. But they made them in a way so that the typical Swedish(!) maps just don’t fit by about 1cm, neither in width nor length, no matter how you fold them.

You had exactly one job here: let customers tell vegetarian and vegan products apart, quickly and without a magnifying glass. Instead of fixing the existing accessibility gap, you doubled down and made it worse.
Do better.

Durch welches Maß an Heimtücke kommt man eigentlich zu der Designentscheidung, einen Texteditor nach Bearbeitung einer Datei mit Alt-F4 schließen zu können, dabei keine Frage zum Speichern zu stellen, beim erneuten Öffnen (zur Kontrolle, um nachzusehen, ob die Datei wirklich ohne Rückfrage geschrieben wurde) den geänderten Zustand zu zeigen, die tatsächliche Datei aber in Wirklichkeit völlig unangetastet zu lassen, bis explizit gespeichert wurde?

Anyone know what might be wrong, or how to fix it? The thing's only 2 years old. This is ridiculous.
Why can't it report on *why* it's skipping 75% of its programme? There's no error code shown, and this is clearly a major error.

Upset to learn one of my financial institutions silently deletes user accounts if you haven't signed in in six months. No warning this is going to happen, no notification sent after. That's a terrible way to treat your customers. #UXFail

Can someone from the #gnome #linux world explain this design pattern to me?
When opening a file on the desktop, if you sort the list by 'last modfieid' - no matter how old the folder is, it shows all the folders first. You have to scroll past all the flders to see the most recently modified file.
Apparently this was a DELIBERATE design decision, and there's no way to disable it.
This makes no sense.

Something all web shops should have is the ability to save shopping cart contents for later. I often end up with a painstakingly assembled cart but can’t do the order immediately for some reason and when I get back to finalising the order my cart is empty. Either keep the cart alive for a loooong time or let me save it permanently for later. Don’t hate the customer.

D'ou quand tu fais l'extraction de ta base de données client (fabricant auto) tu lui écris en indiquant juste le N° de chassis sans préciser le type/modèle de la voiture concernée par le rappel Takata ? D'ou tu sais pas extraire ça de ta base de données, coco hein ?
T'as pas imaginé 5 minutes le coup au coeur qua ça pouvait produire chez ton (fidèle) client, espèce de patate dégénérée, de recevoir ton recommandé (juste pour engager la responsabilité de TON client pour TON merdage) ? 🖕🏼

This Android Pixel has an annoying feature when the battery is totally empty. When plugged in the device starts booting, shows some splashes, vibrates, detects that it has too little power and then shuts down. Repeat ad nauseam. This cycles every 30s or so for quite a while until it has enough power to stay up. Probably 50 cycles already and I'm bloody annoyed at the thing.
I assume nobody at Google tested what happens with a fully empty device?

På webstedet kan jeg godt nok se at betalingen ikke er gået igennem, men ikke noget om at mit kort er blokkeret eller hvad jeg skal gøre ved det.
Havde jeg skulle på kontoret, havde jeg først læst mail i toget. Så havde jeg måske stået der, på stationen i tidsnød, med et ugyldigt basiskort.

Okay, es ist mal wieder einfach nur schlechtes UX. Man muss erst auf das Default Projekt klicken, dann kann man über das Plus eine Storage Box anlegen.
Und die Hilfetexte werden in der mobilen Ansicht nur zur Hälfte dargestellt, weil sie aus dem Bildschirm herausragen.

Entweder ich bin mal wieder zu blöd, oder die Hetzner Seite funktioniert einfach mobil nicht.
Ich versuche eine BX21 Storage Box zu bestellen aber ich lande immer nur in der Console und kann da nur einen Server erstellen.
Weiß jemand Rat?
