KP scrapping narrowleaf yucca leaves to make brushes for painting on ceramics. A pocket gopher ate the rootball of this yucca and partially pulled it underground. KP scavenged the leaves. Use what you have!#narrowleafyucca #paintbrushes #ceramics #newmexico #usewhatyougot

They were bought at the Container Store probably 20 years ago and were used for most of that time to store all the things a family with three toddlers and tweens and teens needs to have handy in a bathroom but wants very much not to show off. They probably cost $100 or so for the bunch, and I am sure would cost more today or be hard to find in material that could get abused like this without falling apart. #ReUse #MakeDo #UseWhatYouGot

Always trying to use-it-up-or-wear-it-out around here so my Project for today was rescuing some galvanized metal cube storage things, which we had ripped out of the bathroom we were remodeling, cleaning the ever-loving crap out of them, and mounting them in the hall near our washer and dryer. Left cube-shaped holes for artsy stuff, or just more storage. These will likely see a lot of use for towels and laundry junk.
