The airstrip was just dry enough for me to get airborne today, so I went for a bimble.

Also spotted this which I'm guessing is going to be a new music venue, being built on the edge of St. Neots.

Today, because I'm now a #pilot, I hired a plane for a couple of hours and bimbled around in Class G airspace.

I planned to go to Deenethorpe for a cuppa, then land on a few farm strips on the way back, but there was low cloud to the North and Deenethorpe was fogged.

But had a nice time just minding my own business.

After 3 flying lessons this week and the final push whilst the UK weather held. I took my GST at lunchtime, and passed.

I'm no longer a #StudentPilot but just #pilot.

Also had quite a lot of fun and interesting things to do at the Airfield. Replaced throttle cables, balanced carborettas and did a ground adjusted prop pitch change.
Our standby plane is now running nice and smooth, so much so I used it for my GST test.

Yesterday completed (passed) my final #Aviation exams.

This means that I only have to do my qualifying cross country flight, and the GST (General Skills Test) and I'll be a fully qualified #pilot.

Just need some decent weather now.

Well didn't get to fly today, because of the weather, again!
But did pass my Navigation exam instead.
Next break in the weather (fingers crossed for Wed evening) I should be doing my qualifying cross county solo flight.
