GP today for a routine blood pressure check. Surrounded by old people in the surgery waiting room. I was the only one wearing a mask. The nurse apologised for not wearing a mask. She said Long Covid had left her breathless and tired. She can't cope with wearing one all day.

2.Include the ONS Survey estimates for active cases. With low testing, the confirmed case data is suspect.

Today's UK Gov stats. New cases, hospital admissions, Hospital patients all beginning to rise again. England deaths still over 700 pw. New cases up 20% last week compared with week before.

This applies especially if you are at risk of getting Covid due to work or lifestyle, or you have had it,
The Official UK gov reporting is failing as you can't generally get free tests, and if you use commercial tests, you can't report them.

The Gov Dashboard is now useless for week to week tracking of Covid waves. If you don't test, and you can't report tests, then it looks like Covid is over.
Meanwhile; 10k in hospital with Covid, 873 died in 7 days over Xmas (within 28 days); 400 people in week to 23-Dec and rising (Death Cert); People PCR tested (presumably in Hospital) positivity > 10%, Pretty much no Vax given; Main current VOC BQ.1. No sign of XBB.1.5 yet.

UK Covid test question. If you buy a rapid test over the counter:-
1) Does it have the same ref number and QR code markings as the old free NHS ones?
2) If you try and report the result to the NHS at https://www.gov.uk/report-covid19-result what happens? I know they say you shouldn't but does it fail?
3) Is there anywhere else to report it using the test's ID number? You can report in the ZOE app but that's just a date and result.

I'm sorry people seem to be carrying on and exchanging pleasantries and posting pictures of cats whilst this country sees the most horrific slaughter of innocent lives brought about by the incompetence of the government in power and NOBODY IS OUTSIDE THEIR HOUSES SCREAMING. Clapping on a Thursday wont save lives, serious money and effort will. It's time to dump this murderous crew in the ocean and get in a coalition government to see out the crisis properly. #ukcovid
