The Pentagon will deploy thousands of additional troops to the Middle East in the next few days, US officials told The Washington Post.
According to them, about 6,000 troops aboard the aircraft carrier USS George H. W. Bush have been sent into the region. About 4,200 Marines are expected to arrive near the end of the month as the United States attempts to pressure Iran into signing a deal that could stop the conflict, the newspaper explained.
Just like before the 40 days war, US is playing peace loving partner extending ceasefire until US and Israel have enough troops, weapons and air defense to confront Iran and possibly start the ground invasion of the country.
