OK so you cannot highlight text in a toot using #Tokodon.
However, if you click on the three dots on the right at the top of each toot then you have the option to copy the whole toot to the clipboard.
Not ideal but I can work with that.
As Whalebird does not seem to allow editing of toots then at the moment Tokodon has the edge over Whalebird.
OK #KDE folk, I am trying out #tokodon again. Running on #Xubuntu 22.04.5 so using the gtk #XFCE desktop.
I have hit a problem in that I do not seem to be able to highlight text to copy it out of individual toots. Say to translate the text or to quote just a sentence.
Is this a general limitation with Tokodon or something to do with me using it under XFCE? Or have I just missed something blindingly obvious?
OK Tokodon it is.
I had a brief look at #Tootle which I installed a while ago but didn't like the GNOME like UI. So that is now gone.
I also tried #Tokodon a while ago but preferred the old Mastodon web UI to it.
Now, with the new Mastodon web UI Tokodon is the easier to look at and use.
Cue the Tokodon UI changing to match the "great new Mastodon" look.
Spoiler, Tokodon already has roundals instead of squared off icons. Sigh.
