Hey @[email protected] @[email protected] vielleicht haben Leute ja deine Klage über Nichtrunde Avatare gehört (ich persönlich fand deine These ja widersprüchlich), die du Mal in einem Vortrag geäußert hast.

ich habe gerade ein halbes Dutzend Fediverse-Apps installiert und zumindest #fread #flare und #tokodon machen kreisförmige Avatare und zwei davon auch den gewünschten Leerraum darunter.

As an aside, I am not much of a fan of #KDE Plasma DE but I have to say KDE's stand alone applications have been super solid.

#Angelfish has been a solid and fast browser.

#KPat has been a great desktop solitaire game

and #Tokodon has been the most reliable and easy #Mastodon app that I have used on the desktop.

TIL #Kvantum sets a dark icon set for dark themes so my environment variable only made apps that don't work with Kvantum (E.g. #Tokodon) harder to use! If you own a #Linuxphone and want a dark theme for QT/#Kirigami apps Kvantum works well but make sure to only set the #QT and QTQuick theme in your environment variables, not the icon pack!

Hi Dear Carl,

How did things go with the #characterLimit issue in #Tokodon.

Did you get our message about the "Content Warning" issue?

It looks like we won't be on this instance for long as Mastohost will be shutting down this one due to a lack of funds too :( We have written lately about how a participatory #P2P element might prevent fediverse from trending to a centralised state as content serving demands grow.

Whether this is about ActivityPub or not is of little consequence to us. All we see is that without some level of #participation/input from peers to help serve specific content (images and video), it is quite obvious that the #Fediverse will trend back towards re-centralisation.

We call on #I2P developers to explore how they can make something like #GlutPlug work in fediverse clients like #Tokodon (possibly #Fedilab too, but #AllPhonesAreBad so maybe not).
