CW: Technical remote server question / shop talk. NAT, remote access, SSH
I've lost access to the 4g networked #wilderland remote server (a repurposed Samsung A40, powered by solar panels) out in the West of Ireland.
The web-server and system itself is up an running, but I lost #ssh connection to it, because #tmate (terminal sharing) has stopped its services.
Preliminary research shows that #upterm https://upterm.dev/ is a fairly similar alternative, but I won't have much time to make the switch when I'm next with the system.
Anyone with experience of these Instant Terminal Sharing tools with alternatives or tips? I wasn't smart enough to manage to set up my own way of bypassing #NAT (https://wiki.termux.com/wiki/Bypassing_NAT) so I used tmate, and it had a handy termux pkg that was just ready to use.
Don't even know where to start trying to install upterm in termux!

@campuscodi: A few notes and thoughts on CVE-2023-2283 in #libssh:
* libssh (libssh-4 in Debian and derivatives) ≠ libssh2 (libssh2-1 in Debian and derivatives)
* Obviously only servers using libssh to let users log in should be affected by any authentication bypass. Most libssh reverse dependencies though seem to be client-side applications.
The only potential libssh server-side reverse dependencies I found so far are:
* #cryptsetup-ssh
* #tmate-ssh-server
* maybe #cockpit-bridge -
#TIL someone made a usable pair prog system. I achieve the same with #GNUScreen (users can work independently with GNU Screen, whereas in tmux they can't, and I'm not sure tmate addresses that) + yggdrasil + throw away user + SSH key.
But the amount of tech #tmate people grokked to make their fork is admirable.
