I have one of the most complex cases of motor #tics I've ever seen.
I have almost every single one, and ones I've seen only in my mom.
It defies login I didn't know until 27.
Then I remember all the abuse I went through, the neglect that made me hide it away thinking I was just crazy, until I started taking #drugs I was in so much mental and physical pain.
If I had any other dad, I would have known.
I got the biggest loser I've ever met instead.

My #tics related to severe #tourettes have changed since I stopped using #GabAPentin as a way to manage them.
Before they were subtle, but almost never stopped as they were impossible to fully satisfy. They were smaller movements or twitches that were very frequently.
I switched to using a higher dose of #Guanfacine which is an #adhd and tic specific medication, and now they come in waves and are more forceful, and harder to contain.
But I can actually have some peace.

I really do have a hell of a combination to ensure my head hurts a lot.
1. I have #tourettes which comorbid comes with #migraine like headaches that are caused by suppression of #tics if I do it too much, essentially my nervous system overloading.
2. Constant neck/shoulder strain from dystonic tics that make me subconsciously tense my shoulders.
3. #visualsnowsyndrome which has actual migraines as an extremely common comorbid condition.
Where's my ibuprofen...

I don't have insulting vocal #tics often, but they are possible if I'm offended.
Usually they're random phrases I repeat, and things in my head that slip out before I can stop.
A guy walking by with a few people mocked one of my hand/arm movements as he passed me thinking he was out of sight, and I couldn't hear him act "retarded".
I spun around and said "You should walk into traffic while you're acting stupid before I MAKE YOU,".
The whole group shut up and kept walking.

I can feel my #nervoussystem in a literal way.
I get #tics in every muscle group, and they move like a wave and bounce between the left and right half of my body. My main nerves almost feel like a road way they travel through, and if I resist it's like a cord literally tugs through my body, and becomes painful after a while.
I can feel how your brain halves control the opposite side, as I get a sensation inside my skull that travels to the other side of my body.

Las charlas se llevarán a cabo el sábado 26 de abril, y tendrás que elegir entre una de las dos modalidades: charlas de 20 minutos o de 50 minutos.⌨️ Talleres y mesas redondas:
Los talleres y mesas redondas se realizarán el viernes 25 de abril, y la idea es generar un espacio para experimentar y realizar actividades vinculadas al Software Libre que nos acerquen como comunidad.🖱 ¿Cómo participar?
Para participar de esta edición de FLISoL Montevideo, tenés que mandarnos un breve resumen de tu propuesta y tu CV al correo [email protected] aclarando si optás por una charla de 20 o 50 minutos, talleres o mesas redondas.El equipo organizador hará una selección de las charlas y se pondrá en contacto con el responsable de la actividad. El 14 de abril se estarán publicando las charlas seleccionadas.

I don't. My #tics tend to be sounds, and whispers when I curse or say something. Never shouts.
Another #symptom you don't hear about is kinda the opposite of outbursts. I'll say something in my head, and think I said it, but never did, I was just staring off into space.
