Found a DVD with three Jacques Cousteau documentaries for €2 at the #ThriftStore.

I could not let it remain in the shop.

I guess we will be watching the man with the red beanie talk about marine life in French tonight. 🦭

If you'd prefer to donate goods to the pantry, shelf-stable canned (vegetables, meats, fruits) and dried goods (pasta, rice) often come to mind. Please check expiration dates before donating. Other needed and appreciated items:

- vegetable oil
- herbs, spices and seasonings
- jellies and jams
- syrup
- condiments (ketchup, mayo, mustard, relish, bbq sauce, etc.)
- baking mixes or ingredients
- honey
- salad dressings
- canned fish and meats
- coffee, tea, hot chocolate
- laundry and dish detergent
- personal hygiene products (razors, shampoo, soap, toothpaste, feminine products, shaving cream, deodorant)
- cleaning supplies


Donate to the Thrift Store

Don't toss those treasures! Donate your clean, gently used items in good repair to Provisions. Your donations help us provide affordable clothing, furniture and household goods to the community. Proceeds from the store directly support the food pantry. Donating your used items is also a fantastic way to reduce waste and help the planet.

ALL donations must be approved by the store manager Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 9am-4pm.

We cannot accept:

- Mattresses or box springs
- Sofa Beds
- Torn, faded, or stained linens or clothing
- Electronics - TVs, computers, printers
Items with damage or missing parts
- Large appliances
- Large furniture without prior approval of staff
- Car Seats "

This #fujitsu #siemens LiteLine laptop followed me home from the #thriftstore today!

A very competent little 98 machine, with a pretty much entirely SB compatible sound chip, nice 800x600 LCD, 5GB harddisk, CD-ROM, and floppy drive. An AMD k6-2 450, and 32MB of ram.

And, against all reason, Fujitsu just still has the drivers for these online. You can just search for the model using their current product selector.

Shockingly good customer service.

It is basically stuff that has not been checked but is super cheap (so far everything I bought there was working, but maybe I am lucky). You can find everything there from an HDMI cable, CPUs, RAM, games, cameras, lenses, ...

Since the weather is especially nice again...
I went browsing a bit at the local thrift stores.
I had to take some buses for that.

My favourite shop today was Hobby Off Himeji Mitachi (you can get there once every hour with the busline 36 from Himeji station).

2nd photo everything in this picture is about Gunpla / Gundamn.
3 & 4 they also have a lot of consoles and games!

Since it rained all day, I had a lazy day today so I could browse the local Book Off (thrift store) in the evening.

These shops are a paradise for manga- & animefans and for console gamers.
