なぜ他の国の報道を見て「最近の異変株では発熱が少ない」というのに日本だけ（？）が「発熱が主な症状の一つ」と主張しているのか不思議に思ってたけどそっか

コロナ＝高熱としか報道されてこなかったから、熱が出ない限りは検査を受けようとし、受けてもらうことは、ないんだ

恐ろしい悪循環。。。🫠

For the past year or so, I've been puzzled by the gap in reports of covid symptoms between JP news sources and EN news sources. (A JP article from today STILL says that fever is one of the most common symptoms, while I haven't seen any EN sources make the same claim in months)
But then I realized

Covid has only ever been reported as a disease that causes fever + other symptoms here, so folks are either not going to think to test or be able to get tests from doctors if they don't have a fever

What a delightful self-fulfilling prophecy. Great timeline. 🫠
