Friday was session one of scenario one of @pelgranepress Cassilda's Song This is Normal Now playtest.
It's a modern day scenario for @robindlaws The Yellow King RPG, but as the first rule of playtesting is that we don't talk about playtesting you'll have to be content with an image apropos of nothing.

If you've never read #RobertChambers' story collection #TheKingInYellow--
The first four stories are masterpieces of macabre horror fiction. The one after that is almost unsettling by how it isn't as creepy as the first ones. And the last stories are pretty traditional and boring, as are the stories Chambers would write the rest of his career.
Almost as if he was driven mad by reading the play The Yellow Sign himself and as a reaction retreated into writing boring contemporary romances! Or maybe he was replaced by some supernatural entity trying to hide the fact of the original Chambers' disappearance!

After dark at Le Rêve Noir.
Tonight we finished off Dancer in the Bone Cabaret, another great scenario for The Yellow King RPG.
Unfortunately, only Dorian made it out alive, laying three black roses at the site of past horrors. One each for his three fallen comrades.
Just one more game to go in 2022...
