Some people might find this blasphemous, but this has always been my favorite JAMC record BY FAR.
I love them ALL, but not like I love Barbed Wire Kisses.It’s so fucking noisy, gnarly and fantastic, and it’s hard to believe these are B-sides. It’s by far the most satisfying front to back JAMC experience for me.
So many bangers. So good.

Anti-pop yet pure pop at the same time, simultaneously raw and tuneful, and always on the distorted, reverb-heavy edge of what catchy alternative music could be.
Laying out the blueprint for dream pop and shoegaze as indie music moved into the future, while paying tribute to the oscillating 50s/60s scene between girl pop and garage rock.
