Je suis dans mon dernier #TER d'un petit périple de 8 jours, qui a inclu :
- 6 voyages en #train (#TER, #TGV, #Eurostar #Thalys, et #IC #SNCB)
- 3 locations #autopartage #Citiz dans 3 services différents du réseau (#Lyon, #AuRA à #SaintEtienne, #Provence à #Avignon).

J'aurais bien ajouté 2 ou 3 trajets de #vélo dans #Paris pour compléter la #multimodalité, mais #vélib a jamais détecté mon #fairphone en #NFC... alors que la #RATP si... ??

Ook voor Nederlanders een alternatieve #Trein om naar Parijs te komen. Langzamer maar goedkoper.

De nieuwe #Eurocity-trein van #Brussel naar #Parijs. Dat is een goedkoper en ook trager alternatief voor de #Eurostar (de vroegere #Thalys tussen Brussel en Parijs. Voorlopig rijdt de trein alleen tijdens de Olympische en paralympische spelen in Parijs. Op termijn zal de nieuwe verbinding op structurele basis gebruikt worden.

Arriving recently with a delayed #Thalys, we beat by wide our #GareDuNord > #GareDeLyon record : 18 min from incoming train to hall 3, with luggage, thanks to an access to #RER station right in front of our carriage door. That should have been just in time for the following train but... we could never find the platform, as they stop mentioning it 2 min before departure.

I really want to take the #train from #Vilvoorde to #Rotterdam in the new year.

But it's a tough sell at €107 for 2 pax (€54/pax) pour a regular #intercity (not #Thalys -- so no guaranteed seating; slower train).

Or I can take my car, drive for ~2hrs back and forth, pay ~€30 in petrol and another €20 in (hotel) parking fees.... hmmmm...

Maybe it's time to rethink the cost structure of public transport?

This is just not incentivizing to take the train.
