Habe ihm in #tempestrising die Fraktionen und Einheiten erklärt und wir haben zusammen #commandandconquer Generals gezockt.
Zum ersten Mal seit 13 Jahren 😁
Allerdings ist C&C immer mit einem Mismatch Error abgestürzt, wenn unsere Einheiten sich angegriffen haben 🤔
Offenbar gibt es irgendwo Probleme in der Netzwerkkonfiguration zwischen Fedora und Windows 11.
Wir verwenden beide die #Steam Version.
Vermutlich kann man die Timeouts und Keepalives über die GameData.ini einstellen, aber dafür war heute keine Zeit...
Jetzt wo C&C Generals #opensource ist, gibt es vielleicht bald eine Integration in Steam Multiplayer. Das wäre awesome 😊
Der LAN-Modus von Tempest Rising ist pflegeleicht 👍

Update on my Tempest Rising play.
My map control and scouting improved a lot today, and I tried some new unit compositions.
I tried using dynasty guards like zerglings to harass, which did get me map control, but I waited far too long to transition to an army that could fight, so I lost.
Tried amassing assult gunners, which doesn't work because AOE shreds them. Maybe it would work if I played a little better and had a vehicle frontline?

Something interesting I witnessed in #TempestRising: The GDF and Dynasty campaigns play COMPLETELY different. Where the GDF Campaign felt pretty balanced, the Dynasty Campaign is a much bigger rollercoaster ride. Also, the Dynasty campaign appears to work a lot more with triggered Spawns and "Jump Scares". All in all I am not enjoying the Dyn campaign as much as I did the GDF campaign. Also, the story of both campaigns feels like I'm missing context 🤔 Still a great game, but I have questions
