După încheierea primului val de investigații și aplicarea primelor sancțiuni, Comisia Europeană își ajustează abordarea strategică pentru a asigura conformitatea pe termen lung.✨ Punctele cheie ale schimbării de strategie de la Bruxelles:🏁 Închiderea primului val de investigații:• După desemnarea marilor companii tehnologice (Apple, Meta, Alphabet/Google, Amazon, Microsoft, ByteDance/TikTok) ca fiind „gatekeepers” (păstrători de poartă), executivul european a finalizat anchetele inițiale privind practici precum self-preferencing-ul (favorizarea propriilor servicii), restricțiile din App Store și consimțământul pentru colectarea datelor. ⚙️ Mutația de la investigare la monitorizare și conformare activă:• În loc să deschidă procese interminabile, Bruxelles-ul pune acum accent pe un dialog de reglementare continuu, obligând companiile să își modifice activ arhitectura produselor (de la ecranul de selecție al browserelor până la opțiunile de interoperabilitate ale aplicațiilor de mesagerie).🔍 Extinderea către noi domenii (AI și Cloud Services):• În timp ce primele cazuri au vizat aplicațiile consumatorilor de masă și motoarele de căutare, atenția Comisiei se îndreaptă acum către piețele emergente de Inteligență Artificială generativă și Servicii de Cloud (precum AWS sau Azure) pentru a preveni comportamentele anticompetitive înainte ca acestea să devină structurale. ⚖️ Sancțiuni mai severe în caz de neconformare recidivantă:• Regulile DMA prevăd amenzi de până la 10% din cifra de afaceri globală anuală (și până la 20% în caz de abateri repetate). Bruxelles-ul semnalează că nu va ezita să aplice amenzile maxime sau chiar măsuri structurale (cum ar fi obligativitatea vânzării unor active) dacă marile firme încearcă să ocolească prevederile legale prin soluții cosmetice. Maybe the problem with overgrown social media platforms is scale. Too many people posting, all overseen by one centralised mod team, so nobody can effectively take responsibility for any of it. One piece of evidence for this is platforms that segment mod responsibility, like Reddit, not being as much of a sewer pipe.
