I've been using #Technitium for years now on a linux box and point it to Quad9 as the upstream DNS. I don't often get to say this, but so far it keeps happily doing its thing in the background with no muss or fuss.

I watch the dashboard to check the stats and to watch for occasional updates, but it absolutely does the job it was designed for. 4 Million+ sites in blocklists, scheduled to auto update every 2 hours... & zero lag.

For a strong initial bundle, Suricata with nDPI (you've already got this one) and ntopng should be the core focus, as they cover threat detection and visibility. Adding Squid with SSL-Bump as an optional premium "TLS Inspection" add-on, and Hashcat as a security auditing tool, would provide a compelling and versatile package for your partners. #forensics_full #debian blends #technitium dns

Auf einem Pi läuft jetzt ein zweites Technitium DNS im Cluster. Zusätzlich kombiniert mit keepalived und einer virtuellen IP, die per DHCP an alle Endgeräte vergeben wird.

Wenn ich den Master neu starte, höre ich nicht mehr: „Hey, warum geht das Internet nicht?” 🙂

Technitium läuft dabei natürlich auch im Recursive Mode. Genauso wie ich es vorher mit Pi-hole + Unbound hatte.

#homelab maintenance complete. I finally configured unattended-upgrades on the Ubuntu servers - I'd put that off far too long.

#technitium cluster also upgraded to 15.2.

Other small items was changing repo locality to GB and setting the correct timezone.
