Today was the first class in Tapestry Weaving! So far, the main thing I have learned from two weaving classes is that warping the loom is just tedious.

Completed the next section of my #tapestryweaving sampler. All I have left is the section with curves and it will be ready for the warp to be cut.
Weird thing is now that I’m doing this, I see potential tapestry patterns everywhere lol

Made a little more progress on my #tapestryweaving after completing pulling the original one apart (because I didn’t like the original colours.

Got part way into my #tapestryweaving sampler but don’t like the red and green yarn the teacher gave me, so I’m undoing everything to start over with earth colors. Good thing, too, because I’m finding I made mistakes the first time.
Wally decided to “help”. If he’s lying down, I actually can weave with him there, and it makes him less curious, so he won’t mess with the loom.

Super excited to be heading out to my second ever #tapestryweaving class at Lambspun #Colorado, momentarily. The photos are from last week, where I was supposed to learn to warp the loom but I did it fast enough that the teacher got me started on #weaving already. Don’t mind the ugly colors - she wanted me to see high contrast for the different patterns 🙂

I’ve been wondering if I should buy a frame loom for #TapestryWeaving. I’m pretty sure the answer is yes.
