@daj about 10 folders (music, fotos, documents (notes, keepassxc,...), local repos, backups) shared on 7 devices (linux, windows, android).
Start very simple (one or two folders).
I think it's good to have one device (like a NAS) which is always on. Also a tray like #syncthingtray helps to notify you about errors or file conflicts.

#Syncthing bzw. #SyncthingTray hat es (mal wieder) in die aktuelle #ct Ausgabe 17/2024 geschafft.
Ist für mich inzwischen unverzichtbar geworden, um Daten zwischen meinen Geräten ohne Cloud synchron zu halten. Insbesondere schaufel ich so von meinem #Android-Smartphone Backups und meine Fotos auf meine anderen Geräte.
Insbesondere für Menschen ohne Google-Dienste eine ganz ausdrückliche Empfehlung!
