  1. Looking for “a guy wearing a black t-shirt” is not a helpful search strategy at #Supercon2024 🤣

  2. Waiting for #supercon2024 Lightning Talks, here at my makeshift sewing station.

  3. I did make it, just listened to a great talk on analog design. And once I scarf down this bagel, I’m gonna go listen to another! (prolly Mohit) #supercon2024

  4. Assuming I eventually make it to Pasadena (slow train problems), I’m hoping to be able to sew up a few of my felt SAOs while I’m there. The week went completely sideways, so I didn’t get a chance to make any earlier. #supercon2024

  5. It's way too easy to bring too much to supercon. At least my airbnb has a crafting room.

  6. I’m on the train, heading to Pasadena for Hackaday #supercon2024 - but there seems to be an accident somewhere on the route - I guess I’ll be finding a bus???

  7. So someone made a "Tik-tok, the clockwork army of OZ" SAO. I am so happy to have this!

  8. Honored to be invited to design the Touchwheel "petal” SAO as part of this year’s @hackaday Supercon badge. It's an SAO-version of my capsense touchwheels like “touchwheel0” & “picoslidertoy”, but this one has cool back-mounted RGB LEDs that shine through.

  9. Well. I got a box of SAO connectors finally. Now to figure out what to do with then before #supercon2024

  10. Today I updated an old edge lit matrix build with a new #WLED control board, the QuinLED Dig-Uno. This project will be part of an exhibit of various kinds of displays at SupplyFrame that will be viewable during #supercon2024 and afterwards.

  11. The Solo in carbonite simple add-on that I teased before is getting along well. Solo himself was taking too long to render all the time, so I removed him for now. This got me thinking now, should I add someone else in there? I want the person to be "silver", as in I will remove the stopmask for Solo later.

Will use the same SK6805 LEDs that @simenzhor is using, but control them with an optional Attiny202 (there's a jumper for direct control on GPIO1).

  12. More as a joke though, I designed a simple add-on without any electronics on it, not even using power of the connector.

There's a second version where I shine through the PCB with RGB LEDs, which is currently in my JLCPCB cart.

  13. Got an interesting display you'd like to show off during Hackaday Supercon?

The folks at the DesignLab are putting together an exhibit that will showcase the evolution of display technology, and they need your help!

  14. Was thinking about simple add-ons for the upcoming hackaday supercon.

    Ideas that I resonate with:

    1. use up parts I had for ages and never used

    2. make it have a function that works stand alone and can be enhanced by the I2C connection, but doesn't have to. i.e. build a counter module and have.

    3. having I2C controllers to things is cool, but telling people to install a library onto their badge to make your SAO work is probably too much to ask.
