Tonight I was privileged enough to experience the first night of #Channuka in #Israel

There was the hanukkiah (menorah), There were delicious #sufganiyot and singing and prayers, but there were no presents for the children.

It was beautiful in that the real present is family, love, and tradition. The real present is being surrounded by people who share the same experiences and care about you.

Well, I have once again tried and failed to make #sufganiyot. In this house, the cussing and garbage-canning of failed jelly donuts marks the real beginning of the #Hanukkah celebratiion. #Mazeldon
