As the threat of mines in the Straights of Hormuz and the Persian Gulf in general I am reminded of this article in The War Zone in which a few months ago the trump admin PULLED all the minesweepers out of the gulf.

The proposed replacement of which there are 2 modules total so far is to have the LCS aka Little Crappy Ship replace them. The ONLY thing the LCS is good for is as a bullet point pointing to why you cannot trust the navy to run procurement programs
