Spacehog are a really interesting band. They never really got to hit their stride in the UK or the USA since they were an NYC-based British band that was kind of in the middle of various sounds (too polished to be grunge, too grungy to fit that slick, catchy mid90s wave of radio altrock, etc..)

Finally watched that Dinosaur Jr documentary on Criterion Channel. Not much is new in it behind clearing up some of the messiness in their history but it’s also got some great old footage of them doing their thing

I will always enjoy that the lyrics for Bush songs are usually written based on how they feel with the music VS having a specific story. Do they make sense? No. Do they feel good to sing a long with/play? Yes!

The Offspring are one my favorite bands. I don’t consider myself someone that’s very easily moved but their lead singer being both a microbiologist and a musician has always been a fairly big influence on my motivation to keep doing art/music/writing while also pursuing research work
