Excellent day sampling the #Stellako #River (British Columbia) for #aquatic #insects yesterday. Tons of #stoneflies, #mayflies, and #caddisflies.

The other day we met this beautiful valley garter #snake (Thamnophis sirtalis fitchi) along the side of the #Stellako #River during a collecting trip. An amazing creature! I hope it has a wonderful summer full of #toads, #mice, and warm #sunny #days.
