I was interviewed by our local newspaper about my life as a Trekkie and my time working as Research Assistant on #StarTrekPicard seasons 2-3, to coincide with the 60th anniversary of #StarTrek. 😊🖖 Only subscribers of the NOZ can read the whole article but here's the link anyway. The first one is the airlock pictogram ↗️, seen on the shuttlebay door in #StarTrekSNW's "Human Best Friend"↖️. This one had, so far, only appeared in "Star Trek: The Motion Picture"⬇️ and on Beverly Crusher's ship, the Eleos, in #StarTrekPicard's "The Next Generation" (2nd pic). 2/5

I have a #StarTrek Hawaii shirt as well, it was a crew gift I got for working on seasons 2 and 3 of #StarTrekPicard. 😊 It also has an Orion dancer! 😁 I cannot bring myself to wearing it at the moment, though, because my mum ironed it on the day she passed away 6 weeks ago. I will wear it again, just need some time! 🥲

How cool is this poster from the Picard Finale IMAX event? I was lucky enough to keep not one, but both of the posters displayed at the showing! Got around to putting it up this week and I think it looks pretty cool next to my lower decks calendar. Now I just need to get a frame for the small poster included with my ticket.

CW: Discussing Star Trek: Picard
#TV #StarTrekPicard I've asked myself why this show reused the #Changelings and the #Borg. On one level, the answer is simple. Seasons 1 and 2 tried doing new things w/ Picard, and some fans disliked it, so Season 3 tried to bring back the hits. See also how #TheLastJedi tried to be fresh, fans disliked it, and #RiseOfSkywalker brought back #Palpatine. What? I thought the Borg were no longer a threat. I thought Palpatine was dead. Haha.
Yeah, no.

Been thinking about recreating this "DNA Codon Scanning" animation from #StarTrekPicard in a web browser since Season 3's premiere.
Initially I thought I had to use JavaScript to constantly modify the svg DOMs, which could result in a poor overall animation performance. I think I've figured a way of doing it mainly with CSS & Math! Here is a teaser/demo video. Will integrate it into my next TitanEPS update :-)
