Berlín .- La plataforma musical sueca Spotify anunció este martes la introducción a partir del próximo mes de una nueva etiqueta para identificar las identidades de artistas generadas por inteligencia artificial (IA).

A partir de mediados de septiembre aparecerá la etiqueta «AI Persona» en algunos perfiles de artistas, que indicará a los oyentes de música en la plataforma que la identidad de un artista puede haber sido generada por inteligencia artificial y que no representa a una persona real, informó Spotify en un comunicado.

La plataforma considera que los consumidores de la música en Spotify «deben poder confiar en que el artista que hay detrás de una canción es realmente quien dice ser, algo más esencial que nunca en la era de la IA generativa».

La nueva etiqueta supone un paso más en el objetivo de la empresa sueca de hacer la plataforma «más transparente y fiable» en este nuevo entorno tras el lanzamiento de «Verified by Spotify» (verificado por Spotify), «SongDNA» (ADN de Canciones) y «AI Credits» (Créditos de IA) para saber cómo se ha creado una canción, y la «Protección del perfil del artista».

De forma predeterminada, Spotify no incluirá música de «AI Personas» en sus recomendaciones editoriales ni algorítmicas, indica la plataforma en su comunicado.

«Dar visibilidad a la música de artistas auténticos»

«Aunque creemos que todos los artistas deben tener libertad creativa para decidir cómo quieren presentarse, la programación de Spotify está centrada en dar visibilidad a la música de artistas auténticos que están construyendo una trayectoria profesional en la industria musical», señaló la compañía.

Los artistas pueden indicar que su perfil representa a una «AI Persona» a través de Spotify for Artists (Spotify para artistas), si bien la plataforma no se fiará solamente de la autodeclaración, sino que también revisará perfiles de artistas para identificar aquellos cuya identidad pública, es decir, la identidad que un artista muestra en su perfil, incluido su nombre y sus imágenes, parezca representar una identidad fotorrealista generada por IA.

La plataforma empezará por aquellos artistas que hayan alcanzado determinados niveles de audiencia, de modo que estas etiquetas abarquen a la gran mayoría de los perfiles de artistas que visitan los usuarios.

En los perfiles en los que el equipo de revisión de Spotify haya aplicado la etiqueta, se avisará a los artistas y se les dará la oportunidad de identificarse como «AI Persona» o presentar una apelación, explica la compañía, que también dará a los oyentes la posibilidad de avisar de perfiles de artistas que crean que representan a «AI Personas». –sn–
