Penguin testers are working, I'm planning on releasing the penguin pattern by the end of the month, and I am returning to work on the cat pattern. ✨
I won't be allowed to get a job here in Germany for a few months more, which is longer than I'd hoped, so I'm going to have to get all my income right now from #crochet / #crochetpatterns, tips, and possibly vending at an #artisans market if that turns out to be a loophole I can slip through in terms of legal work.
If you're interested in testing for the #amigurumi #cat pattern when it's done, let me know and I'll make a note to tell you when I make the call for testers! It'll include a crouching pose and a #splooting pose (I only recently learned the word "splooting" and it's adorable), so I'll probably be looking for more testers than with the penguin one.

I finished this last night and didn't post it 'til now cuz I got.... a cold.....? (fingers crossed two negative covid tests aren't wrong 🤞) and didn't feel up for it.
I have to admit it's a bit of a hassle to sew on the legs and head, especially since I need to note where and what angle to put instructions on the pattern. That's something I need to practice tbh. The snake was easier, lol 🧶

I have MASSIVELY changed the front leg shoulder(?) design for the #splooting #cat #amigurumi. Feeling pretty proud of how we've sorted the curving technique for this and the tail. :3 What we've learned from this will deffo be going into the snake pattern when we get back to that.

Alright, we got a standing front #kitty foot happening! That took all day to get right. 🙄 The back feet will just be a combination of these instructions with the #splooting pose back legs, so that shouldn't be so hard to design.

Of course, "final design" here just means there won't be any further changes to the sploot pose. There are two different head shapes and I want to design a third pose for the pattern. I'm not sure if I'll start that right away or take a break to work on something else. We shall see.

It looks as though Caruso occasionally likes “#splooting” when he gets extra relaxed.
Splooting is a position when #dogs lay on their belly with their hind legs stretching behind their body. Sometimes, it’s also called “#drumsticks” or “#pancaking”, among other references.
Since Caruso arrived between Presidents Day and Lent, I might give him another nickname, “#Pancakes”!
