  1. Learned about #splitdns today. i have experimented with #blocky dns server which worked fine now i want to try out with split dns I guess it won't cut out for this so alternative would be #AdGuardHome which is written in #go and the release are single binary (easy to test) with web ui.

TLDR: Split DNS, or split-horizon DNS, is a networking technique providing different DNS results for the same domain name based on the user's location (internal vs. external)

  3. So in order to get working with on I need a client version > 1.8V but its not available yet? So there is no way around setting a global DNC and override local settings at the moment?

  4. After thinking on it a bit. My forwarder solution to DNS wasn't really the way to go. It introduced a bit of complexity. I was going to need to manage two different dns servers for one damn client.. Me! So I went back to split-horizon #dns

However, I cnamed the shit out of everything cause .. fuck easy. My #netbird clients now get dns records based on the client address. Simplifying my entry point on my private and #netbird networks to the same LB with legs in each
