I backed this Kickstarter a while back (from Archmage Press )... and it arrived today :) :) :)

It's a DMless / solo / co-op adventure module for D&D (with some similarities to the old choose your own adventure books) - and, as you can see, it also comes with a bunch of nice (full colour, double-sided) battlemaps to use in some of the encounters.

With any luck I'll get to give it a try over Xmas :)

Am I using my access to a US shipping address for a week to pick up stuff that's practically impossible to get back home? Maaaaaaybe.

FFG have stopped any pretence that they want players to be able to get things before they kill the game but it is one of my favourite solo games.

Finally got the #SpaceEmpires4X expansions from #gmtgames!

The good is that they look great, and I finally have them. All Good Things has just been released, but the other two have just been hard to find.

But...

Now got that unenviable decision of 'How much of this am I going to try to introduce at once?'

Thing is - this is primarily for #sologaming - and I don't know how many new rules will fit in my head at once.

Did some playtesting with my solo/random dungeon tiles, cards, and tokens again tonight...

...and this time the party survived to tell the tale... YAY!

Tried out a custom solo scenario of #advancedheroquest last night (for 2 heroes) to re-familiarize myself with the rules (I also laid out some tiles in advance, and used something similar to the guidelines for playing on the original HQ board).

And things started off well - just battling through rats and facing minor hazards. Though things quickly went downhill upon discovering the quest room 😅

All in all, fun was still had, and I'm now remembering how deadly this game is 🤪
