Bańka AI pęka? Peter Thiel po cichu sprzedał wszystkie akcje Nvidii za 100 mln dolarów

Czy inwestorzy po cichu wycofują się z rewolucji AI? Fundusz hedgingowy miliardera Petera Thiela, Thiel Macro, sprzedał w trzecim kwartale wszystkie swoje udziały w Nvidii.

To sygnał, który budzi niepokój, zwłaszcza że to już drugi gigant w ostatnim czasie, który całkowicie „wyszedł” z akcji producenta chipów.

Według dokumentów giełdowych, fundusz Thiela pozbył się 537 742 akcji Nvidii, które były warte około 100 milionów dolarów.

Nie tylko Thiel. SoftBank też uciekł

Sprzedaż Thiela sama w sobie mogłaby być uznana za zwykłą realizację zysków (wszak kapitalizacja giełdowa Nvidii jest monstrualna, według danych na 17 listopada br. przekracza 4,5 biliona dolarów). Problem w tym, że nastąpiła ona zaledwie kilka dni po tym, jak inny gigant, japoński SoftBank, również ogłosił, że sprzedał swój cały pakiet akcji Nvidii.

W październiku SoftBank sprzedał 32,1 miliona akcji, zarabiając na tym 5,83 miliarda dolarów.

Nvidia jest absolutnym „ulubieńcem” rewolucji AI. To firma, która dzięki chipom AI osiągnęła wycenę 5 bilionów dolarów. Dwie tak potężne wyprzedaże, jedna po drugiej, są postrzegane jako sygnał ostrzegawczy dla całego rynku.

Przesiadka z chipów na modele?

Warto jednak zauważyć, że przynajmniej jeden z inwestorów nie ucieka z AI – on po prostu zmienia zakład. SoftBank ogłosił, że pieniądze ze sprzedaży akcji Nvidii (sprzęt) przeznaczy na wielomiliardową inwestycję w OpenAI (modele).

Rosną obawy o bańkę

Ruch Thiela i SoftBanku dolewa oliwy do ognia obaw o bańkę spekulacyjną. Coraz głośniej mówi o tym chór ekspertów, w tym Bank Anglii oraz Michael Burry, słynny inwestor znany z filmu „The Big Short”. Ostrzegają oni, że bańka AI jest napędzana przez „FOMO” (strach przed przegapieniem okazji) i może pociągnąć w dół całą amerykańską gospodarkę.

Nawet szefowie tech, jak Sam Altman i Jeff Bezos, przyznawali ostatnio, że wyceny firm AI są zawyżone.

Teraz wszystkie oczy zwrócone są na Nvidię, która w najbliższą środę opublikuje swój raport kwartalny. To on pokaże, czy obawy inwestorów były uzasadnione.
