I did not remember a morning energy drink earlier this week, so I picked one up at the gas station on the way into work. It was a C4 Mango Fuego cause...I'm a sucker for a gimmick in a can.

How was it? Artificially spicy, at times. It gives you a quick artificial mango flavor that is immediately replaced with artificial heat in your mouth. It's sweet and hot, kind of. It's confusing.

Think mango habanero flavored sauces, but not as good.

Would not go out of my way to get again, but would drink if someone just handed me a free energy drink.

The first was an aggressive looking Strawberry Lemonade Juice Monster. It's...okay. I'd drink it again, but I'd pick most other Monsters over it. It's kind of strawberry lemonade flavored, heavier on the lemonade and a little tart.

Red White and Blue Razz tastes...like blue raspberry Monster. Would drink again. Doesn't need the silly re-branding, tho.

So, at Dollar General I saw G-Fuel's Knuckles the Echidna energy drink called Sour Power. A sucker for gimmicky energy drinks and Sonic the Hedgehog characters, I had to get it.

The flavor is "Sour Power" and let me tell you...it tastes like sweet malic acid. Malic acid is what they put on Sour Patch Kids and other sour candies to make them taste sour. This taste like liquid malic acid with some artificial sugars added in. No specific flavoring, just sweetness.

It was...odd. Not terrible, but odd.

Wouldn't get again.
