what are the fediverse instances that center interaction, not broadcasting?

i'm not asking which apps are message-board-like, but which particular instances are thriving, nice places for interaction, in whatever form it takes

i know lemmy is message-board-like. if there are other apps, and instances of those apps, i'd love to know about them!

FediCollective is now PurrEssence.

After FediCon2025, we in Vancouver explored what it means to be "human-kind" in a digital world. As we reach our 9th meeting, our name finally matches our frequency.
