My spouse kicked me out of the house for a couple hours so she could set stuff up for a birthday dinner.
I don't mind at all since it means I get to watch #GSSC's U16 (m) team compete in a T O. Soccer League match on the grass field at James Jerome.
Some of these lads might be playing for #SudburyCyclones in #L2O or #L1OChampionship in a couple years.

Congratulations, Spain!
It was a fantastic match, and I felt great watching it on my birthday. Other than a bit of time wasting in the last few minutes of injury time, every moment was a tonne of fun.
Hopefully, #CAN can get itself sorted over the next few years. We need to be back & challenging for the top.

@bazkie I think its only "slightly favourited." The blah blah between matches have repeated the line ad nauseum.
Personally, I think they were trying to manufacture a "favourite," but who am I to judge really?
All I know is the previous 28-minutes of play have been awesome.

It's official!
#GreaterSudbury will be joining #League2Ontario (#L2O) starting 2024.
Sudbury Cyclones will be playing at The James Jerome Sports Complex and competing in the first-ever race for promotion to #L1OChampionship .

I'm definitely loving it. I want Colombia to pull back ahead for the W, but that late goal might just deflate them a bit. We'll have to wait and see.
With my team long eliminated, I always cheer the underdog. That's never going to change.
I really love #soccer...

Looks like last nights #FifaWWC match between #Canada and #Nigeria is not yet available on demand via TSN.
#Australia vs #Ireland and #NewZealand vs #Norway are up though, so its just a matter of time... Hopefully.
C'mon TSN, don't fail me (again, for the millionth time)...

I agree; the goal really took the wind out of #ForgeFC.
They were playing hard and then just kinda took the foot off the gas. I don't think the squad quite had enough energy to play out the whole match at that level of intensity, something the #CanPL is still continuing to improve.
Every year, these matches vs. #MLS sides look a little better for a little longer. It's only a matter of time until we see another cupset.

If there's going to be a cupset, it's going to come down to #PacificFC against #WhitecapsFC starting in about an hour.

I'm not looking forward to the trampling... I'm predicting a 5-1 scoreline for Forge.

Although #VWFC performed decently in the first half, the second half against #LAFC in yesterday's #CCL match went more or less as I expected.
On the bright side, this means they're eliminated in advance of the #CanPL and #CanChamp23, allowing me to enjoy watching #AtleticoOttawa earn their way to next year's CCL.

So far, I've avoided spoilers for last night's #CCL match between #WhitecapsFC and #LAFC. These West Coast matches play far too late for me to watch live, so I'm watching the #OneSoccer recording now.
I'm expecting the 'Caps will return to their usual form and lose by 2 or 3 goals. But hey, maybe they'll surprise me.

Watched a replay of #CDOlimpia vs #AtlasFC in the #CCL.
Looks like Olimpia vs. #WhitecapsFC are likely in the next round. That will be a significant challenge for the 'Caps, who will be underdogs going in.

Just wrapped up watching a replay of last night's #CCL match between #WhitecapsFC and #RealEspana.
That was quite a match. Barring a completely flipped script in Honduras next week, it's pretty clear the (sole) side from #Canada will be moving ahead to the next round.

I also felt the last 10' before extra time things picked up a bit for the Canadians. The Americans were still the better side but not as dominant as the 45' -80' stretch.
I felt a few of the players in the 1st half were trying to make their plays look pretty, and that contributed to some of the slips, but that's part of the game at this point.
