Saving the best (worst) officiating for the very last. In the last 20mins Referee for the #AtleticoOttawa v #VancouverFC gave a masterclass on the worst officiating of all time. #CanPL is cooked if this isn't fixed next season.

Well, the streak was going to end if we continued to give other teams easy chances like that. The officials definitely helped out though. Everyone wanted #YorkUnited to win and #AtleticoOttawa just didn't make enough clear cut chances. Lots of work needed because we've been backsliding for about four matches now. Time for a reset. Pressure is off for the streak, but that was not how it should have ended and Ottawa can't get sucked into a losing run now #CanPL #mastodonfc

Well, deadlines have come and gone. It looks like I won't be playing #soccer this summer.

The #SRCSL teams aren't interested in a 40-year-old rookie, even though I lost 50 lbs and am probably in the best shape I've ever been.

As for the #GSSC co-ed league, I asked around, and the average age is about 24... Too big a gap for me to enjoy playing & make local friends around my age.

I guess I'll have to content myself with the kids' games & watching #AtleticoOttawa.

For most of the half, Ottawa was chasing HFX, just trying to get back in the game. While good to see them catch up and eventually top Halifax, I really hope they don't spend the whole season trying to overturn the other team's lead...

Overall, a fairly even match. Both sides are a little sloppy in their passing, although it has improved over the course of the half.

HFX has allowed Ottawa to hold possession while waiting for errors (and there's been some big ones) to cause a sudden rush.

It will be interesting to see what happens in the next half.

Minutes away from the #AtleticoOttawa vs #HFXWanderers match. I can hardly wait to get my cheer on!

I'm still in the middle of #baking right now. Bread loaves will be out of the oven in 15 minutes, and then the burger/sausage buns go in. Everything will be hot and fresh before the second half. Yum!

Just under five hours until #AtleticoOttawa kick off against #HFXWanderers in #CanPL #soccer.

I've my new jersey on and scarf nearby and ready for cheering.

I'm going to keep myself busy #baking a few loaves of bread, burger buns, sausage buns, and bread bowls while waiting for kick-off.

Might have some time while bread rises to hop on the bike. We'll see how it goes.

Although #VWFC performed decently in the first half, the second half against #LAFC in yesterday's #CCL match went more or less as I expected.

On the bright side, this means they're eliminated in advance of the #CanPL and #CanChamp23, allowing me to enjoy watching #AtleticoOttawa earn their way to next year's CCL.

Update:

My #AtleticoOttawa scarf arrived earlier today. It's a very heavy and comfortable scarf. I'm looking forward to wearing it come April.

The #VancouverFC scarf made its way to Richmond, BC, and appears to be in transit. They're predicting it'll arrive on the 7th, but I won't be surprised to see it arrive Friday.

Finally, thanks to @ophiolite, I will have an #FCEdmonton scarf to put opposite my #OttawaFuryFC scarf so they can battle it out in perpetuity.

Update: The folks at #FCEdmonton returned my email today, and they're issuing a refund. The store should not have been open online, and they have no merch to sell.

As for #AtleticoOttawa, they dropped off the package in Kanata for shipping earlier today, a full 7 business days after they made the shipping label. No reply to my email.

I ordered one from #VancouverFC yesterday. The race is on...

Finally, I added the #AtleticoOttawa matches to my calendar. Looks like I'll miss out on three late-night mayches over the summer. I'll have to watch the match the day after instead.

I was disappointed to see that even though my birthday falls on the weekend, my #CanPL team isn't playing.

I can watch the #CavalryFC vs. #YorkUnitedFC match that day. I'm fairly certain my match will be over when they kick off, but the #SRCSL schedule isn't made yet.

Just emailed both the #AtleticoOttawa and #FCEdmonton stores about my orders, as neither have shipped.

The #YorkUnited scarves I ordered the same day were delivered on Feb 17th, so there really isn't any excuse for Ottawa.

As for FCE, well, if they went under, they really should shutter the online store...

Hopefully, I won't have to issue chargebacks...

The package was still there. The scarves are of decent quality. They are regular weight (not summer weight), which has to be a tonne of fun for #YorkUnitedFC supporters during match days.

Also, #AtleticoOttawa has shipped my scarf. Well, they made a shipping label anyways. Let's face it, it won't hit a CanadaPost office until Tuesday.

Still nothing from #FCEdmonton. If I don't have any updates at the 1-week mark, I'll e-mail. Hoping I don't need to do a chargeback.

I pulled the trigger and ended up ordering two different #YorkUnited and #FCEdmonton scraves, as well as #AtleticoOttawa . I'll have to wait for the #VancouverFC shop to go online before I order one of theirs.

I think I have scarves from every #CanPL side and/or one of their supporters group(s) at this point.

I looked into finally grabbing one from #ThunderBayChill of #USL2, but they're charging $50 before tax & shipping. That's pretty far out of line with the going rate.

#AtleticoOttawa take on #HalifaxWanderers on April 15th at 5 pm Eastern, kicking off a double header in York Lions Stadium.

#YorkUnited host #VancouverFC at 8 pm Eastern in the 2nd match of the double-header at York Lions Stadium.
