SNOLAB is hosting a public talk on the physics behind some of the world’s elite athletes. The talk, the evening of October 1, is free, but registration is encouraged. It will be at The Refettorio in downtown Sudbury at 8 pm. We hope to see you there! #greatersudbury

We are doing the #Letterkenny and #Shoresy tour of #GreaterSudbury today. My brother-in-law is a HUGE fan and introduced us to Letterkenny in the first place. There was even prep on Durham St. today for filming for Shoresy.

While my time coaching in #GreaterSudbury, was amazing, the group in #Ottawa was problematic (at best). I won't get into many details, but I cannot stand behind the local program & its ownership.
Ever since leaving, I feel pretty lost. Much of my identity is tied to being a coach (and later, coach manager), and now I'm back at zero.
I still love #soccer, but coaching is soured to me now (and I need a paid job).
What to do?

Had an interview/info session last night.
Starting in December, I'll be the operations manager for #LittleKickers #GreaterSudbury. I started as a #coach in September and will be fully transitioning to my new role as we get more coaches trained up.
While the pay is just above a livable wage in my area, I look forward to gaining more knowledge and experience in the area while growing Little Kickers and the #soccer community in the region.

In addition to running classes at a Daycare on Friday (Walden), we have Saturday (Val Caron, New Sudbury, South End), Sunday (Chelmsford, Minnow Lake), and Monday (Minnow Lake) morning classes now.
Evening classes during the week are being floated for the New Year for the two older age groups (3.5-5 yrs & 5-8 yrs). And there's talk of experimenting with an 8-12 group.

Just had 4 mini-sessions with kindergarten classes at a French school here in #GreaterSudbury.
My #LittleKickers co-coach provided the language, and I provided some very animated expressions while we ran some great games.
It was a lot of fun and I can't wait to do it again!

Yesterday was my first day at my "main" location for #LittleKickers.
There were 4 brand new classes, with only a couple of kids transferring in from other locations (two of which I've taught at since I got my coaching position).
I also had a brand new assistant coach helping out for her very first session.
So far, I love this job. Just need to up that stamina!

I walked over and introduced myself at the tent and started asking about the program and coaching. Then, I was brought down to the field and had a more in-depth conversation with the head coach (who also happens to work for SWSE).
That led to a formal interview the next day.
I'm just waiting on some paperwork, but it looks like I'll be coaching this fall!

#GSSC 1 - 1 Olympic Flame
It was a pretty good match overall. Loved watching these young lads compete. There's lots of room for them to grow, but you can definitely see potential from some of these players.
