  1. The smell of chlorine, sweaty smilodon, and hot plastic. Ah, summer. If only there was another cold drink…

That raft was a promotional item for two and a half children, it’s a bit snug for a two-meter cyborg who hasn’t lost his winter weight…

  5. CW: Fatfur, tyrannosaur boobs, swimring

    “Tsunami Warning”

And sure, might as well just draw @Borusa stuck in a nice big toofer swimring.

  6. CW: Fatfur, macro nonsense

“The Problem of Pleistocene Padding” - Climate change is none too kind to ice age megafauna.

Feat. @Borusa as the superfluous flotation device.

(The concept and composition were shamelessly stolen from Kamiduzaurus.)

  8. Emil’s going to have a long talk with Mr. Johnson after this.

Feat. @texsaber.bsky.social, stealing strategically important Giga-Helium gas.

I don’t know who the #mammoth toy is. One of the many members of Tex’s Pneumenagerie.

As befitting a hackneyed (Emil’s words, not mine) prehistoric supervillain, Tex’s Prodigious Prehistoric Pneumenagerie consists of a tyrannosaurus, triceratops, pteranodon, mammoth, and plesiosaur. They actually hold up concerningly well for inflatables in a Saturday Morning hero cartoon...

  19. This weeks #Lego #FossilFriday is #Smilodon
In the 1830s, Peter Wilhelm Lund and his assistants collected fossils in caves near Lagoa Santa, Minas Gerais, Brazil.
In 1839, he recognized some as hyena fossils and named them Hyaena neogaea.
In 1842, he revised this classification, while transitional to hyenas, they were distinct. He called this new species Smilodon.
In 1846 the first distinct large canine teeth were found, and an almost complete skeleton had be compiled from different individuals.

  24. Smilodon (Schleich)

Aside from being the most popular and familiar prehistoric carnivoran, cats of the Smilodon genus are notable for several reasons. They’re the most recent of the “saber-toothed” cats, having only gone extinct at the end of the Ice Age, 10,000 years ago. They were also large, reaching and exceeding the size of extant big cats. One species, S. populator, was one of the largest known felids, […]

  27. Smilodon (1/18)(Beasts of the Cenozoic by Creative Beast Studio)

Now the ambush! Ademir explodes from his hiding spot in the tall grass and flings himself upon his unsuspecting quarry, which bellows in fright and pain as his claws easily puncture its skin and dig deep into its flesh.

Now the coup de grace! Ademir opens his mouth to its very widest and swings his head down. But the frantic toxodont lurches to the left and the deadly fangs plunge into its […]

  30. I decided to see how big I could make Emil. The image wasn’t very strong, it’s probably better to think about it more and give it another go later.
