Early season snow. Well it hurts. Even knowing how fickle it could be, I still skipped underneath a snow cannon at reasonable speed. Got the tips hooked on the downhill side and somersaulted.
Two big holes in the snow where I touched before coming to a standstill and soft tissue damage on my back.
It's going to hurt for a couple of days.
My friend behind me said he saw we go forward over the hill, thinking I was going to fall and then saw my feet appear above my head.

Today was probably my last downhill day of this season. I still want to do some touring and walking to get my fitness up before disappearing on my hiking travels.
I went looking for untracked snow between the trees. There was one area at the Pal resort where I reckoned there would be as the trees are too tight for most skiers. I was right, but going was tricky as the snow was crusty in many places.
Lots of ducking under branches, but lots of fun too. I like this area as it is quiet and quite steep in places.
Luckily we don't have the tree well risk here like one would get in the US. The only risk really is going too fast and hitting a branch.

@Chrissy It will not be a walk in the park.
Now that I met my #skiboarding targets for the season, I am back on touring skis and uphill walks as from tomorrow, to get my fitness levels up. I have just over a month to go

Epic snow rolled in for really deep powder days in Andorra. We finished #EuroShredfest today.
Personally it was a good as the stuff we rode in Tahoe last Feb during those blizzards.
The great thing about skiboards are that they can just float through powder, but also make tight turns through narrow trees, which is near impossible for most skiers, except real experts.

Given the dry season we had in the Pyrenees, finding stashes in the trees that are more than boot deep, was glorious.

This week is Euroshredfest in Andorra, so we'll be riding skiboards the whole week. We have people coming in from the USA, France & UK to join up.

The season in the Pyrenees has not started very well, but at least I did put some colour out there. 😃
The skisuit is from OOSC. It's comfortable, but I feel it needs one more chest pocket or an inside zippered pocket.

First day on the sloped just to get the legs back. It was as if the ski season closed just some some days ago and opened again. No early season wobbles.
Snow on the ground is still thin.

Euroshredfest 2024. Yes, it is still summer here in the northern hemisphere, but we have announced the dates for the biggest skiboarding event in Europe.
And if you don't know why this niche sport is so much fun, maybe it is time to find out.
