Prolonged periods with minimal #rainfall left the reservoir and storage tank levels low in Skerries, #Scottish Water said.
That has meant the company is having to ship a road tanker full of treated water into the #island up to five times a week from #Whalsay to maintain people’s #water supplies.
Scottish Water said this would “continue for the foreseeable future”.

Easter bunny brings joy to Skerries
Passengers aboard ferry to #Skerries were left disbelief after spotting the #Easter bunny
The elusive rabbit was seen waving to the ferry from the #Grunay pier as he made his rounds
Ferry crew reported adults & children had been left agog at the unexpected sighting
The Easter bunny produced a sign wishing everyone a “Happy Easter”, leaving behind a trail of smiles in his wake.
