This is a bummer. Aris Hampers was a local DJ who had a big impact on West Michigan.
And before that he was in a badass band called the Soul Benders who released two killer garage punk singles in 1968. The a-sides were covers of "Hey Joe" and "7 & 7 Is" (both great) and the b-sides were pretty good originals. R.I.P.
