I have taken the time to fix Snarl so it actually sorts my site map by the titles of each page (stripping leading articles) instead of the file name of each page.

Dumped my very incomplete notes on Maude to my wiki plus the only program I've ever written in Maude: a tictactoe thing.

Ars Technica: Google Maps gets its biggest navigation redesign in a decade, plus more AI. “Google Maps is one of the company’s core products, which means it hasn’t escaped the shift to Gemini. There will be more opportunities to converse with a robot in Google Maps starting today, but there’s also a new navigation experience on the way. The revamped navigation isn’t as explicitly […]

Transcribe a long mastodon post to an article cause I think it captures most of my observations from people deep into LLMs: a sadness, an ignorance, an a truth about digital creation.

Taking inspiration from Ruby, I've "written" 1000 fables for my site. Delicious content to enrich the moral purity of children across America. God bless.

Working with @june and playing with her little esoteric bit-oriented multistack VM. After going back and forth with her, I found the language when restricted to just one stack is less powerful than a PDA. Which lead me to asking "What would be less powerful than a Type-3 Grammar (Regular Language)". Apparently, some other people have asked the same thing and wrote about it. Now I've written about the Type-4 Grammar (Finite-Choice).

9to5 Google: Recap: A big 2025 for Google Keep, but what’s the future?. “Compared to the year prior, 2025 saw a lot of updates for Google Keep. It’s easily one of my most used apps on Android. While I don’t necessarily have any complaints about the service today, I wonder what a modern note-taking app from Google would look like.”

Scrawled out some notes on Io before bed. Mostly just gathering more of my thoughts as I tumble down object-oriented rewriting.

Tomorrow…
Slightly later than planned, but we will be back posting here tomorrow.
Our socials at social.teamb.space will be down for anywhere from 3-48 hours, no idea exactly how long yet, from either Monday or Tuesday, as we move to a new, more powerful, and more importantly, slightly less expensive server.
There is a slight possibility that the address on that will be changing, but more details on that will follow as soon as we know what is going on – keep an eye on this site for the latest details.
Thanks for your patience during this move, both of the house, and the server.

Due to stuff going on at home over the next few weeks (nothing bad, we’ve just bought a new house, and packing up, doing some updates on the new house, and keeping up with the day job is taking more of my time than I expected), the daily post will be dropping to 3 photos a day.
Give it a month, and we’ll be back to the full 6 daily photos again.
I’m also going to be experimenting with a slightly different way of doing each post, to try and improve the way posts federate across the Fediverse.
Cheers!
