How did we make the sites experience better?
As part of the second stage of the rollout, we have made the sites experience better for you, and we felt that the improvements that we’ve made during the second stage were totally in place. But, the question here is “how did we make the sites experience better?”
Considering the wide screen experiences, we’ve managed to lower the edge margins for the content of the site, especially when it comes to both the blog and the API documentation. We’ve already put it to the table during our restructure of the Aptivi website, but we felt that consistency matters. As a result, we’ve widened the contents of both the blog and the website to give you more screen real estate.
Additionally, we’ve made the text more comfortable to read, especially when it comes to carefully choosing colors while preserving our branding’s color scheme. With the four official fonts we’ve outlined in an earlier article — Inter, Space Mono, JetBrains Mono, and Cairo — we’ve managed to give our branding, along with the revised set of colors and elements, a bold, attractive, modern look and feel. For OLED and AMOLED screens, we’ve put those screens into account by turning the background of the sites to true black. We have added no grays, and this is a requirement for a pixel in those screens to turn off to save battery.
As for mobile devices, we’ve adjusted some of the elements to make them more responsive when it comes to narrow screens, especially when said screen is tall found in recent phones, such as the Galaxy S25. Elements like branded borders and features panel have been modified to work well with mobile devices, and we felt that those changes were necessary for our users who are accessing our site with mobile devices. Additionally, in our blog, we’ve adjusted some of the elements, especially the home page, to make our blog site more welcoming for mobile users.
However, improvements won’t end here, as we are destined to keep evaluating and testing our site, while making the appropriate changes, to make sure that both the desktop and the mobile experience stays consistent. We are always looking forward for improvements at this time as Stage 3 is currently ongoing, while the brand usage guidelines for the media are in progress.
