Das war jetzt sehr imposant. Zwar war mir bewusst, dass die #Sihl in #Zürich eigentlich der tonangebende Fluss ist, meinte aber immer, das Treibeis wäre die grösste Gefahr (denn als Kind habe ich mich immer über die Funktion dieses Brücke mit absenkbaren Schaufeln auf der #Allmend gewundert: Es ist ein Eiswehr). Spannend zu erfahren, dass der #Geschiebehaushalt der wichtigere Faktor als der Wasserhaushalt ist. Und dieser wird natürlich von der Fliessgeschwindigkeit bestimmt.

CW: Bragging and serious lack of otters
On saturday, I wanted to run a bit further than usual - the idea was to go down to Sihlwald (the local wilderness park) and come back by train instead of doing a loop.
Start was a bit difficult - things were ok-ish, but not feeling good enough to go for super long (well, by my standards :).
Nevertheless, I still managed to go all the way, and come back several half-way - before taking the train back in Adliswil. And thus, I managed to beat my distance record with a not-too-shabby 23 km :)
I even had a conversation with some people going by bike in the other direction to talk about the condition of the trail (there was a minor land slide). Such social.
Though in Sihlwald, I did not manage to see any of the otters so it was a bit disappointing :p
