Včera mi konečně dorazilo HALPI2 od Hatlabs.fi! HAL co ptáte se? Je to nový počítač do lodě postavený na @raspberrypi CM5 8GB RAM a 512 SSD! Kromě toho obsahuje podporu NMEA2000 a NMEA0183, Ethernet a 2x externí USB. Celý systém je uložen v hliníkové krabici, která slouží jako velký chladič. Fajn věcí je, že obsahuje 4 super kapacitory, které dovolí automatické bezpečné vypnutí systému i v případě vypnutí napájení. #SignalK #HatLabs #Boating #Boat #Cool

Boot 2026 in Düsseldorf is over, how was it? It was first time to showcase SKipper to wide audience and to talk to people about it. It was great and it gave us energy to push SKipper journey forward.
Big thank you goes to Open boat projects that allowed show casting SKipper on one of their great plotters! It was awesome experience to meet many people, boost connection with other folks developing great hardware like Christian Harz, Norbert Walter and Matti Airas! Thank you #SignalK #SkipperApp

@skipperapp @mairas druhý den už bylo všechno funkční trochu mě zradil Docker, ve kterém běžel #SignalK server a nebylo možné mu udělit přístup na sériový port #NMEA2000 Gateway od #OpenBoatProjects. Tudíž jsem provedl instalaci mimo docker a všechno už začalo krásně fungovat.

Celkem byl víkend v #Düsseldorf povedený a moc jsem si ho užil až mi bylo líto, že jsem nezůstal o pár dnů déle. Bohužel povinnosti mě volali zpátky.

Dobré ráno, dneska vyrážím směr Düsseldorf na Boot 2026! Budu tam prezentovat @skipperapp na stánku #OpenBoatProjects #Boot2026 #SignalK #BoatingApp

Version 25 features preview

Version 25 is in the works for about one month and will be few more weeks, this post is about what will be coming to SKipper version 25! So let’s dive in.

Sounds were missing in SKipper app for long time, so version 25 will allow users on Linux, Windows, iOS and Android to produce loud sounds when notification state reaches warning, alarm/alert and emergency. Each state has it’s own sound and user can enable or disable sounds and setup sound level.

The latest update for version 24 is now available

This release brings improvements and bug resolutions:
INTRODUCING - Date and Time Converter - enables time zone settings (local, UTC, or UTC offset)
INTRODUCING - JSON Template Converter - permits users to extract or generate text templates from JSON objects (now you can finally display templates)

The new version 24 of #SKipperApp is coming soon to all supported platforms. Key features include easy one-click binding to SK with automatic settings, new theme options including a Dark Red mode for low light, and an adaptive grid layout that responds to device orientation. Users can now hide the icon bar and enjoy enhanced template customization with correct unit selection. The main menu now features appearance tiles, and the modern compass has been redesigned to display more data.

I’m excited to announce the release of the first beta version of SKipper, a multi-platform program for displaying Signal K data. Here are a few highlights:

Runs on Raspberry Pi, Windows, Linux, MacOS, Android, iOS, and most web browsers!
Displays any data from Signal K.
Data can be displayed with any combination of multiple types of gauges; some digital, some analog-looking, and some that are a combination of digital and analog.

#SKipperApp update! So current version supports multiple actions when user clicks on button. It can do PUT requests to change value in #SignalK, navigate to any user page in the app and if running on desktop it can launch any program. Fixed few things like automatic theme switching, version 1.0.8 will be released soon to BETA testers. Do you want to become one? Let me know!
