Today we experience the shortest day and the longest night of the year. This is not just a date on the calendar — it is an important point in Earth's orbit, symbolizing the end of an astronomical cycle and the beginning of a new one.
From this point on, it will not get any darker. Each following day will be a little longer, and our hemisphere will begin to receive more solar energy. We are taking the first step towards spring, summer, and new horizons.
