30 years ago #OTD the week-long sequence of impacts of comet #ShoemakerLevy9 into #Jupiter ended: here are some drawings of the aftermath I made on 1994 July 22 to 24 with a 16-inch reflector in Chile. The planetary society on the comet Shoemaker-Levy 9 impacts on Jupiter. I got to see this first hand at the Singapore Science Centre in 1994 through the telescopes they had set up there for the event. It was an amazing experience.
