A few years ago, I had an MRI for my lower back after consulting a specialist. I’ve had chronic back issues since bursting a lumbar disc in 2010. Between burst disc, spinal stenosis and spinal bone spurs, I’m a mess.

I’m lucky and privileged to have great coverage.

And yet my MRI claim was denied because my PCP had put in a referral to an MRI clinic 6 months previously. A referral I never used. But it was the loophole they needed to deny coverage. I fought it and lost. #shareyourstory
