**A historic transfer of wealth will be centered in the Bay Area. It may not look like you expect**
This article is about the anticipated wealth transfer from Boomers (like me, who currently range in age from 62 to 80) to their family members (&/or to charities) after they die.
I'm generation skipping because my son turned out to be an ungrateful SOB. So, I currently plan to transfer all of my $/assets to my 2 grandchildren but, if they turn out to be ungrateful SOBs too, I'll give it all to charity.
I don't feel like I owe any of them anything & I don't want them to know how much $ they're likely to receive, which is in 7 figures, because I don't want that knowleldge to affect how they relate & treat me before I die.
All I'd like to get some unsolicited attention & respect from them as their grandfather &, if I get that, they'll get the $. Otherwise not!
We'll see . . .

Per the SF Chronicle, “Meta starts laying off some 8,000 workers”. And, that Meta will have 2026 capital expenditures on the order of $115 to $135 billion dollars mostly on AI.
The employee that should be laid-off is Zuckerberg. Yet again he's squandering billions of dollars on yet another Zuckerberg shinny object that he calls “Superintelligence".

I read about this in the SF Chronicle this morning which focused on a cool new piece that was installed (article is behind a paywall).
It’s a 34 mile loop, effectively around the city, displaying large art sculptures. Looks like a great opportunity to view unique art pieces.
I’m thinking that this would be a great day trip and bike ride for my Santa Cruz bike club.

Everyone takes note of #WineReviews & ratings, including the #SFChronicle's annual wine awards which were just announced for 2025.
I like to think that I'm buying & drinking the "best" wines at the most affordable price but, after I dug into it, I've always been suspicious of the SF Chron's wine ratings because they have SO MANY different wine categories & rate each category based on price, which means it's impossible to compare the quality of a $10 wine to a $100 wine in any category. So, you have to know which price range you're in & choose the best of the wines in that range but that begs the question of: Which is actually the "best" wine regardless of price. 🤷♂️
Of course, that's an entirely subjective question. So, I just go with my gut & drink the wines that I can afford that that I "like" best.
Ratings & reviews be damned. 😎

All of the "experts" (even our local #SFChronicle sports writers) are predicting that the Niners will lose to the #Seahawks again today. 😠
The Seahawks are still -7 betting favorites & ESPN still has them winning by 60/40.
Hope Shanahan has come up with some good ideas on how to outplay the Seahawks' D which shut down the Niners 2 weeks ago.
If he does, they'll win as long as the Niners' D repeats what they did before. If not, it probably will be a repeat of week 18. 🤷♂️
Go Niners!!! 🥳🥳🥳

The #SFChronicle article seems to sum it up best. Sounds like an insider deal between old $ SF families to let Hays cash out of the building & to get out from under the burden of maintaining & operating it.

@Starcade The Zodiac has a few well known stars in it & it's pretty true to the events as they happened. Gyllenhaal plays the #SFChronicle cartoonist, who actually wrote a book about the events, & who plays the guy as a an obsessive-complusive in the vain of Dryefuss in "Close Encounters of the 3rd Kind." Very cringe worthy. One of his best performances IMO.
I was going to college at the time & frankly don't remember anything about it. 🤷♂️
Don't think I've ever seen The Real McCoy -- there's a jazz album by the same name but it's obviously not the same thing. LOL! 😉
Do you have any Tyner McCoy LPs or CD?

The #SFChronicle is doing a poll of how many SF Tourist Attractions you have or haven't visited. Native San Franciscans & Migrants (anyone who isn't a Native San Franciscan) can participate.
Out of the 12 mentioned the only one that I haven't done is a walk across the Golden Gate Bridge. Reason: Too long of a walk.
The view from either end of the bridge is good enough for me. I've done both -- parked at the north & south ends to look at the views -- many times.
I've often looked at the bridge while laying on the nudist end of Baker's Beach & from the top of the hill going towards Pt. Lobos -- the view often used in TV commercials.
I've also viewed the bridge from a far & below on a Red & White bay ferry cruise. & on trips to Sausalito.
And, of course, I've often seen the bridge & The City exiting the Robbin Williams tunnel going towards the bridge is one of the most breathtaking views in the world.
