Сегодня я для себя открыл: Pony ORM
Читатели хабра знают меня как автора статей о django. Например, в предыдущем посте я писал о том, как собирался переписывать django на async/await. Кстати, первые эксперименты подтвердили, что подход рабочий, и что django отлично поддаётся переписыванию. А также - что он хорошо расширяем и содержит код высокого качества. Однако, я пришёл к выводу, что несмотря на эти достоинства, django сильно уступает Pony ORM, которая, в отличие от django и других ORM, ещё и спроектирована правильно - способом, дружественным к оптимизациям. Не случайно в статьях, которые есть о ней на хабре, её хвалят именно за производительность. В этой статье речь пойдёт о Pony ORM, но не о фичах для пользователя, которых, кстати, много (о которых можно узнать в этих видео 1 , 2 ), а о её внутренней архитектуре.

Anyways, here is a port of #Sessions (on the left - GTK/libadwaita) to AppKit/macOS 26 with DarwinKit (Golang, too!). Pretty damn close, but there are def. differences around margins, the size of buttons etc. between macOS and GNOME for sure.

The macOS app feels “at home” in a way the GTK app doesn’t. macOS also has a nice menu bar ecosystem that while somewhat emulatable via the background portal just isn’t quite the same as on macOS!

It amazes me what a touchpoint is someone's #pic/#bio. I #volunteer for a #NonProfit that produces monthly #sessions about #tech at #LawFirms. Whether #vendors, biz #professionals (formerly "#staff"), attorneys, or NPAs (Non-Practicing Attorneys), people will not give you their #headshot & #biography (#attorneys are better generally).
They make me ask over & over, or they never send, and appear on the #panel without.

#Sessions now works out of the box in #GNOME Builder and Foundry! There seem to be slight differences between how `flatpak-builder`, GNOME Builder and Foundry all parse the manifests that broke things in various places, so unless I'm doing something wrong I might try and report and/or fix those differences, but the current `main` now works!
